  1. When I was first diagnosed Bipolar, ten years ago, I was like, "cool, whatever," I knew I wasn't any different than I was the day before or when I was a child. Now I don't view it as so cool, and I prefer to do what's in my power to control the symptoms and live as if the people who initially diagnosed me were wrong. I spent nine years on anti-psychotics or tranquilizers as my Doctor called them and against my family and Doctor's wishes decided to gradually stop taking the medication about a year ago and they all agree that I seem to be doing much better without. Not that I was doing so bad on the medication, but now I feel much more alive.
